The Marine Corps League, Elk Grove Detachment #1238, is a community based organization that is dedicated to helping veterans and their families.
The Elk Grove Detachment was chartered in 2006 and has been an active member of the Elk Grove Community from the very beginning.
The funds raised by the detachment are used to support and recognize charitable organizations whose focus is helping veterans and their families.
To date, we have established a college scholarship fund for Elk Grove Unified School District students that have chosen to pursue their education beyond high school. In addition, we provide financial support to Marines and their families through the Marine Corps Semper Fi Fund that is based in Oceanside, CA.
The Elk Grove Marine Corps League is an active and integral part of the community. We participate in the Veterans Day Parade, the Dickens Faire in Old Town, Western Days Festival and other community events.
If you are honorably discharged or an active member of the United States Marine Corps or a Navy FMF corpsman, then you are encouraged to join us in our efforts to support those who serve.
Monthly meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at the Elks' Lodge on 9240 Survey Rd. in Elk Grove. Social/Dinner hour starts at 1800 and the meeting convenes at 1900..
