Elk Grove Citizen – Local Marine Corps League kicks off Toys for Tots collection. (Published: Tuesday, December 6, 2011 3:39 PM PST)
The Marine Corps League, Elk Grove Detachment #1238 will celebrate the launch of their Toys for Tots collection drive on Dec. 10.
This effort is connected to the National Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots program that has collected new, unwrapped toys for needy children for the past 64 years. The program collects an average of 16 million toys for 7.5 million children every year.
The Automobile Club will join the Marine Corps League between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Bel Air Shopping Center, 8700 Elk Grove Blvd. in Elk Grove.
